Review of Dubai’s luxury desert safari with dune bashing, camel rides, fortress dinner, falcon display, live shows, pickup, and practical tips.
“Our driver did not “ entertain and educate you on the ways of the Middle East.”. We stopped at an area not included in our tour, then wanting us to buy other activities. When no one wanted to do anything, we still had to wait around 20 minutes before we could leave.”
Review of Salzburg’s fortress dinner and Mozart concert, with menu choices, VIP benefits, views, logistics, accessibility, and value advice.
“A wonderful way to spend the evening. Lovely host. Good food & views. Concert was great..but the room was far to hot..making the concert experience uncomgortable. Shame as the musicians were exceptional.”
Cruise the Salzach, dine above Salzburg, and hear Mozart in Fortress Hohensalzburg during this memorable five-hour evening.
“The cruise was packed and chilly. However, the dinner and the concert by far made up for it. The concert was spectacular. Very moving.”
Review of Dubai’s desert fortress dinner with camel rides, falcons, barbecue, Bedouin seating, hotel pickup, and live shows.
“We had a wonderful evening at Dubai Saraha Desert Fortress. The food was delicious and plentiful and the entertainment was excellent. One star deduction for the usual hawkers and tacky souvenir stalls, but otherwise we would highly recommend this experience as something fun and different.”
Review of Salzburg’s river cruise, fortress dinner, and Mozart concert, with pricing, stairs, timing, VIP perks, and practical booking advice.
“It was a lovely experience. We booked the VIP boat trip, dinner and concert. The boat trip was fairly short but very nice with drinks and snacks available to buy and commentary in Germany and English. We then had to make our own way up to the fortress where we had a lovely dinner followed by the most magical concert in a candlelit room a the top ofd the fortress with world class musicians. The only reason I don't give this 5 stars is that thee is a ten minute walk from the boat up the fortress and then from the entrance of the fortress to the concert room is…”
Review of Castillo San Miguel’s Tenerife medieval dinner show, with jousting, falcons, fire performers, family tips, food notes, and value advice.
“show was great, thoroughly enjoyed it, problem was we were sent to a pick up point which didn't exist, rep had to call me to let me know where we had to meet, this was after waiting 30 minutes at a stop which was not on the coach drivers list. So my partner and I ended up running to the new pick up point in blazing heat and dressed up for the evening. The rep could not believe we were sent to the wrong point until I showed her the tickets , then she apologised. I have heard nothing from the company which organised this cock up.”
Taste Alberta at Banff Springs Hotel with chef encounters, five pairings, castle stories, and behind-the-scenes access in a small group.
“The tour guide Amanda was wonderful! The tour is set up very efficiently. Being offseason our group was small (7), so it was very personal and cozy. The tour featured small servings paired with a drink to complement in several of the hotel’s restaurants. As we made our way around the hotel, we would pause and discuss historical facts which was great. At each meal we met the chef(s) and sommelier who gave us their personal history, information about the food and drink. The food was 5 star quality and taste and the service was excellent. Put this on your must do list as this is a tour not to…”
Review of Dětenice from Prague: castle, copper-kettle beer, medieval dinner, live music, fire show, transport, value, and practical tips.
“Bello, interessante il castello, divertente la cena peccato non si capisca quello che dicono ( non conosco il ceco….). Forse un pochino caro…..”
Enjoy a three-course French dinner, four wines, and practical tasting lessons at historic O Chateau near the Louvre in Paris.
“We have done two previous wine tasting dinners with O Chateau and have enjoyed them both. However, this experience was far inferior to the last two. Our host was charming and engaging but the food and wine left a lot to be desired. Prior dinners included pate fois gras, filet and a wonderful dessert, all accompanied by generous pours of featured wine. This dinner featured soup, grilled ribeye steak that was practically inedible (fatty and sinewy and served lukewarm) with a few bland fingerling potatoes, and a minuscule serving (spoonful) of what I think was chocolate mousse or ganache. One small pour of wine (perhaps 1.5 ounces) was given as…”
Make handmade pasta, explore an 8th-century castle, and enjoy dinner, wine, and Montone views at Cardaneto Castle in Umbria.
“What a great experience. The location was beautiful with breathtaking views of the city and valley. The castle was full of interesting implements and tools. The pasta making class was first rate and authenic. We really had to work for that pasta using traditional techniques. Our host's passion for his cuisine and culture was delightful. All of the food was high quality and delicious. Alessansro was very friendly and really welcomed us to his home. Our group of three would highly recommend.”
