“Wasn't really expecting all the Outlander stuff. Thought it would be more of a historical tour. It was quite good in that our guide Emma was historically knowledgeable as well. She was friendly with all on board. Two stars removed for the following reasons. The coach was small and brutally uncomfortable especially for those unlucky enough to land in the back row. There is a step at the back not clearly marked as an elevation change and 2 of us fell on it twisting knees and ankles (fortunately not seriously). Instead of ramming us in like sardines, we needed a bigger coach/fewer people on it. Thistle tours cuts it WAAYYYY…”

“Overall excellent tour and booking experience. Viator did an excellent job handling communications before, during and after our tour. The company Thistle Tours they contracted with were easy to find near our port. Every single employee was friendly and cordial. We travelled with Mohr and our driver, Doigie. They were both excellent. Mohr did a great job narrating along the tour and keep us on schedule. Minor deviations to our schedule because of traffic, were communicated in advance. Our vehicle had a bathroom which came in handy. I would Never hesitate to book with Viator again.”

“This was a very informative tour. Our guide Stuart kept us at a pace that we wanted so we were able to adjust our times at locations we wanted to spend more time at. As we drove he had a microphone so everyone could hear the historical significance of the area we were driving to. We were able to cover a lot of because of the driving to location (eg. Culloden battlefield- then walk…then on to Lochness and walk. One of the most beautiful & interesting tours I have been on. We were also back in time for the cruise ship.”
