Review of the Munich day tour to Neuschwanstein and Linderhof, with practical advice on price, walking, timing, transport, and tour options.

“It should be better known that you have to pay extra for tickets to enter the place (42€), ontop of what you already pay, and what you are then paying for is JUST transport in truth as both palaces have their own tour guide. However if you do want to do this trip going with a group is really the only and best way of doing it. The timing of the day was good, both palaces were worth seeing”

Review of Munich’s Neuschwanstein and Linderhof day trip, with practical advice on costs, walking, timing, tickets, guides, and winter conditions.

“Alberto was a very informative tour guide. I learnt so much on the trip that I didn’t know about Bavaria and Germany. You can see that he is truly passionate about his work, history and knowledge of everything. Really enjoyed all the aspects of the tour with him being the guide. Although when I booked, I was not aware that the entry ticket prices were not included in the price so it was an additional fee to purchase the tickets of both the castles for 37€. Also there is no student concessions unfortunately. Sadly, in the castles you are not allowed to take photos.”

Review of Munich’s Chinese-guided Neuschwanstein day trip, with Oberammergau, Alpsee, Wieskirche, transport, timing, and value.

“The day trip was very good and organized amazingly. Although this was a Chinese tour, the guides went out of their way to separate and entire bus just for an English tour due to the high amount of international tourists who also booked this like ourselves. The guides gave us a breed overview and commentary about the place we were going to on the bus and told us a bit about the history which we really appreciated and unfortunately didn’t receive on other tours. The WhatsApp group chat was a convenient way of ensuring clear communication and clarification between everyone and helped reassure others about what time and where the…”

See Neuschwanstein, Linderhof, and Oberammergau from Füssen on a small-group tour with reserved castle entry and Alpine views.

“Very enjoyable trip with a friendly and knowledgeable guide. Advance purchase of tickets avoided long queues we were told about with cheaper operators. Only area for potential improvement is to make the tour operator's office more visible. As we booked through GYG we had expected that company logo to be prominent but not seen. Office is not on a main road with the operator's name & logo on the side of a building rather than its frontage.”
